Smith Island EQ
Overview
This update brings the EQ voicing closer to the discrete analog reference, with refined shelf knee positions and tighter per-band peaking widths.
Fixes
Fixed* Reduced shelf-shape deviation at deep cut and full boost positions on both shelves. * Reduced peaking-band shape deviation on the Lo and Mid bands at the default Bandwidth.
What's new
* Refined Low Shelf knee position for a more analog-style transition into the bass. * Refined High Shelf knee position for a smoother top-end across cut and boost settings. * Tightened Lo and Mid peaking widths so the default Bandwidth setting tracks the analog reference more closely. * Added internal lane-matrix validation across linked stereo, independent L/R, and Mid processing paths.
Notes
* Existing presets and projects remain compatible. * Existing licenses and activations remain compatible. * EQ curves at the default Low Shelf F and High Shelf F positions sound slightly different from v1.2.0 because the knee positions and peaking widths were recalibrated. Parameter ranges, gain law, and switch behaviors are unchanged.
