X-Or
Overview
First release of X-Or — a free, two-oscillator monophonic bass synthesizer designed for pedal-bass and sub-bass work.
What's New
AddedX-Or ships with two sawtooth oscillators, a resonant low-pass filter with a dedicated contour envelope, a loudness envelope, and glide. The synth is monophonic with one voice at a time and transposes incoming MIDI down one octave for pedal-bass voicing out of the box. Free-running oscillators give natural beating when OSC B FINE is detuned against OSC A, and OSC B COARSE shifts B in semitones for fifth, octave, and interval stacks.
Live Chart
A built-in chart sits above the control cards and previews the synth's post-processing output. Toggle between WAVEFORM (time-domain trace, ±6 dB) and SPECTRUM (log-frequency magnitude with a +4.3 dB/oct display tilt and flat-if-silent behavior). Stereo L and R RMS meters sit on the right of the chart.
Presets
Save and load patches as .xorpreset files from the preset selector. User presets land in ~/Documents/MousePlugins/X-Or/Presets/ by default and appear in the preset list after the factory entries. Use IMPORT to load a preset from anywhere on disk.
Free Forever
X-Or is distributed free of charge with no license, no trial, no demo interruptions, and no internet check. Make it loud.
