# Mastino 60 v2.0.1 Release Notes

Mastino 60 v2.0.1 is a small maintenance release that fixes one audible bug introduced during the v2.0.0 release-candidate cycle.

Existing projects, presets, licenses, and activations remain compatible. Nothing needs to change in your sessions.

## Fixed

### Output no longer clips at 0 dB (v2.0.0-rc1 regression)

A change made in v2.0.0-rc1 accidentally turned Mastino's internal output safety net into a hard clip at 0 dBFS. From v2.0.0 onward, any signal that reached full scale was flattened at the output, on every path, including when the plugin was in bypass or set to a low Mix. This was fine on drums but hardened tone and squashed peaks on more sustained or dynamic material.

v2.0.1 removes that clip. Mastino now behaves like a normal floating-point plugin again: audio is allowed to go above 0 dBFS at the output, exactly as your mix bus expects. Set Mastino's output where you want it and let the rest of your chain handle levels.

The original, invisible safety net from v1.x is restored, sitting well above any musical level (at +18 dBFS, the top of the analog-style headroom above 0 VU). It never touches your sound; it only exists to catch a genuine runaway, like feedback or instability, before it reaches your speakers. There is nothing to configure and no new controls.

## Compatibility Notes

Existing projects, presets, licenses, and activations remain compatible.

If a v2.0.0 mix happened to lean on the accidental 0 dB clip, it will now sound slightly more open at the top; trim Mastino's output to taste.

Nothing else changed. The compression character, Gain Reduction Intelligence, calibration, and every parameter are identical to v2.0.0.

## Summary

v2.0.1 undoes an unintended v2.0.0-rc1 change that clipped Mastino's output at 0 dB, and restores the transparent, over-0-dBFS output behaviour of v1.x. One fix, no new controls, no relearning.
