  HYSTERESISSHAPER  //  RELEASE NOTES  //  v1.0.0  //  2026-04-15
================================================================================

Initial release.

FEATURES
--------
  * DSP
      - History-dependent magnetic saturation — the hysteresis model
        remembers the signal's recent trajectory, so attacks, decays,
        and transients are coloured differently than steady-state tones
      - Drive — input gain into the model (-24 to +24 dB).
        Low Drive glues, high Drive colours.
      - Hysteresis Trim — loop width; more width = more harmonics and
        a more obvious "magnetic" character
      - Magnetic Detail — Bias (offset / asymmetry), Saturation
        (ceiling), Memory (history influence)
      - Master Stage — Mix (dry / wet) and Output Trim (±24 dB)
      - Advanced panel — Coupling (inter-sample interaction) and
        Barkhausen (magnetic grain) for extra texture when you want it

  * Audio engine
      - Four quality modes: Live / Design / Mix / Master
        (1x / 2x / 4x / 8x oversampling)

  * User interface
      - Analyzer tabs: Spectrum, X-Y Loop (hysteresis visualisation), THD
      - Factory preset bank
      - Settings, Presets, Advanced, Support slide-in panels
      - Tooltips on every control (toggleable)
      - Resizable UI; scale persists per DAW project
      - Live settings & theme sync across all running plugin instances
      - One-click Reset for UI or DSP state

  * Licensing
      - Offline Ed25519 validation (no internet required, ever)
      - Cross-format activation persistence
      - Demo mode fully functional with periodic 0.5 s noise bursts every
        60 s (printed in renders)

PLATFORM
--------
  * Linux         (x64, ARM64)
  * Windows 10/11 (x64, ARM64)
  * VST3 and CLAP
  * macOS: not in this release — see Why_No_macOS.md

KNOWN LIMITATIONS
-----------------
  * Live (1x) quality combined with high Drive can produce aliasing
    artefacts. Step up to Design (2x) or higher for heavy drive.
  * Barkhausen is always present in the output once enabled — use
    sparingly on sparse arrangements or it will poke through the
    silences.
  * Saturation adds gain. Bypass-compare is misleading without level
    matching — check Output Trim as you go.
